If you are into the healthy living you have probably heard about the human body needing to have an alkaline pH level to be truly healthy. The pH scale measures acid to alkaline, 0 to 14. The 1931 Nobel Prize winner Dr. Otto Warburg claimed that cancer cells cannot survive where there are high levels of oxygen. Having the proper alkalinity in the body increases the oxygen levels in the body, therefore making our body able to fight off just about everything, including cancer. In an acidic body the oxygen levels are decreased making it easier for toxins to buildup in the body. These toxins can turn into a slough of health issues.

As you can see it’s a good idea to eat alkaline foods so that your body can thrive. 7.365 pH is where you want your body to be. Here are some tips to getting your body to balance out at this level:


Well water is the most optimal because it has natural minerals that are needed for the water to be alkaline. If you don’t live in a place where you have natural well water I highly recommend you buy and use a Berkey water filter. They are top of the line!

Buy some alkaline test strips to test the water in your home. If you water is not at least 7.365 add an 1/8 teaspoon of aluminum-free baking soda to every 8oz of water you drink. You can also purchase pH drops to add to water online or at your local health food store. Buying an alkaline water machine is a great choice as well.

I have seen alkaline water sold in bottles at the health food store but I’ve never personally tried them so I don’t know if the water is legitimately alkaline or not. Never tested it myself, but just letting you know that you could test it out yourself.

You can also buy test strips to test your saliva or urine to determine if your body is becoming more alkaline or not.
